Fifty Bowls

Viewers see a display of fifty bowls, each formed of handmade felted wool. The bowls are arranged on a bed of sand, just as important to the overall effect as the bowls. A third of the bowls are empty; one third contain material from the natural world; one third contain manmade artifacts. Each one is designed for a distinct emotional or spiritual response on the part of the viewer. Beyond the individual bowls the groupings of the bowls and the display as a whole leave a strong impression.

Each bowl is 2½" high x 4¼" in diameter, and fits comfortably into cupped hands. They are arranged on a table 6' x 8½'.
